The food was really tasty. I will definitely visit again, when on this side of the island
MoreYou order your food at the window. Seating is limited but the fish tacos are awesome. If you are comfortable with traffic noise and chickens walking next to you eating area then its a good little stop.
MoreA nice little spot on a busy roadway. Chickens running around. Tasty hot and mild sauces to go with your food. Flavors were a bit too mild for a Mexican place but probably to appeal to a wider variety of tourists. Add the hot sauce generously to increase flavor.
MoreCheap, but tasty.
Consistent, authentic and good portions make Paco's tacos a good value. Not once disappointed
MoreBest taquitos in years!
Oh those tacos are great! And, right next to a shave ice place. Highly recommended.
MoreWe had the chicken enchiladas platter and fish and shrimp tacos and it was all delicious!
MoreGood Mexican food at a fair price for Hawaii. In my opinion, best on West side. Other Paco's Tacos in Kapaa, Kalaheo and Poipu. Easy on and off to highway headed to Waimea Canyon, Barking Sands and Poli Hale State Park.
MoreMy daughter and I had the fish and shrimp tacos. Very tasty. The right combo of fish and slaw. Great guacamole.
MoreI love the food and the staff is so friendly!!
$29 for two tacos chips guac and a soda, what a rip off. Go to taco bell cheaper and better, awful, awful.
MoreIt was a good fish taco but nothing special for the $5 price tag.
had their pineapple paradise (is this the right name?), a shave ice with a scoop of ice cream buried in it, topped with shreds of coconuts, really impressive and I totally enjoyed it.
MoreGood fish tacos with a Mexican touch and shave ice next to it for dessert.
Soooo good. And great price!
Great flavors and taste was good though felt quantity of food didn't match the price
MoreExcellent fish tacos! The green sauce is super spicy!!
Just ok. Very salt food. Quick and easy food. Had the fish tacos... Not much fish on it, buy decent flavor. Pulled pork quesadilla was filling but a salt lick, guacamole not so good. Pricing was average.
MoreSo so food. Not bad if you are on your way from the beach or Waimea Canyon.
The fish tacos were finger-licking-good!
Yum! I did not know where to start! I made the mistake of going here when I was starving (or so my stomach thought) and couldn't make up my mind! It's easy to miss if you aren't watching for it. It's tucked into a small frontage road on the right if you are going to Waimea from Lihue. They may be small but their food is mighty! Mighty good that is!
MoreBest tacos on the island and this location has a great shaved ice place in the same building. Great food, shaved ice and service.
MoreGreat food but I would say just OK prices.
Great fish tacos. Cash only. Not much parking.
Amazing fresh fish tacos with excellent salsas and the best shaved ice I have ever had
MoreGreat place for Hawaiian shaved ice!
Great food! Way better tacos than you can get at home
So, so good! Having worked in Mexico for a bit in college, I crave authentic Mexican food and it's hard to find in the islands. I had the carnitas burrito and it was so good! Service was fantastic as well. We will be coming back!
MoreThis is the best fish tacos my wife and I have ever had. The best Mexican style fish tacos too. I don’t know how they do it but it’s just awesome. The other restaurants and food shops on the island are great too, many boast to be the best but I will say I think this establishment is the best on the island, maybe even the whole world. Andy, our cook and who helped us was so kind and had a great spirit to him. Big shout out to Andy for serving the best tacos in the world.
MoreAlways consistent with the quality of food! Though I’m vegan and only get the burrito because it’s very good price for fulfilling meal!
MoreVery tasty street tacos. We got combos with carne asada, chicken, carnitas, and fish. All were good, though I particularly liked the carnitas and the fish. The rice and beans were surprisingly good as well.
MoreWent 3 times, was great each time.
Really great food. Overpriced for what it is though. Even for Kauai. $17 for food in my picture 2 tacos beans and rice. Roadside shack type place. Walkup ordering with picnic tables. They stay open later then the other local places then overcharge imho.
MoreThe fish tacos were generous on the fish and needed the hot sauce to bring out some flavor. At first glance it seemed pricey but they did not skimp on the taco. We almost missed it on the way into town but are happy we stopped at this little outside eatery.
MoreStopped by on our way to Waimea Canyon and tried only there fish tacos. Tasted fresh/hot and on point.
MoreTacos and carnitas nachos were good. Aguas fresca available, along with canned sodas and classic bottle sodas from Mexico. Was open when other places had closed. Parking isn't clear since outdoor tables occupy the lawn in front and no other lot is obvious. With the bridge construction, it can be easy to miss west bound.
MoreCarne Asada tacos are phenomenal. We all had to go back for seconds. Definitely worth a stop!
MoreSome of the best beef taquitos I have had and a cool little stand it's located in. Also thought the fish tacos were pretty solid.
MoreAmazing tacos!! Rice is exactly like my grandma's and I felt like I was at home. It was delicious
MoreGreat for a quick stop - have only had the fish tacos, and they have been good
Saw their cool outside decor and a big sign of Fish Taco so we decided to give it a try. Firstly I was a bit turned off by the price as this place isn't quite a seated restaurant type and is rather a food truck that we order and eat at the outside bench. We ordered few dishes including fish tacos, ceviche, taco salad, a shrimp burrito. The food was good but it was hard to justify the price based on the whole experience. Bathroom and parking nearby available. Somewhat slow service and wouldn't call the place the most clean place. Definitely a new experience one can enjoy while visiting the island.
MorePossibly the best fish tacos on Kauai! I say possibly because I love this place so much, I haven't given others a chance! A trip to the West side isn't complete without stopping at Paco's!
MoreThis place is average. The "Enchilada's with red sauce" were not served with red sauce - rather a brown sauce (not very good). The beef in the Enchilada's was tough and chewy. I had asked for double rice in lieu of refried beans, and received a plate full of refried beans with 2 tablespoons of rice. I can't recommend this eatery. Cost for 2 Enchilada's was high at $15.50.
MoreNice flavors and hot sauces were amazing!
Best on the island. Always or first stop when arriving. Amazing fish, crab, shrimp and carne asada tacos and burritos. Friendly staff. True a place you have to try.
MoreJust a place on the side of the road (HI-50) ... with excellent food! Attached to a shaved ice shack, which was also great!
MoreHad the chile rellenos burrito + horchata. Highly, highly recommend the burrito, but the horchata tasted a little off to me, kinda sour or fermented? Maybe that's how homemade horchata tastes and I've just been drinking the fake stuff, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. But the burrito was sooo good. And the hot sauce is HOT. Had to put half hot and half mild to get the level of heat I wanted, and I can usually handle spicy. Great place to grab a quick bite. Outdoor seating only. Make friends with the chickens lol
MoreGood place for some quick authentic tacos. I really enjoyed the fish tacos. Place your order, have a seat, and they will call you when it's ready. Nice seating in a central open area, and had live music when we were there late on the weekend.
MoreThe food is always fresh and the staff is so friendly!!
